Scrapbooks and Manuscripts
Scrapbooks and Vertical Files
These records are digitized versions of scrapbooks and vertical files created by Local History and Genealogy department librarians over the years, and drawn from area newspapers and periodicals. Scrapbooks are composed of either photocopies articles, or clippings pasted to paper and placed in three ring binders. Vertical files are file folders of clippings arranged in chronological order. When digitized, these materials have been reproduced exactly as one would interact with them in our reading room, so each record corresponds to either an entire scrapbook, or a folder full of clippings.
