Using This Digital Library
Each item added to this digital library corresponds to one physical location. The title for each item corresponds to the firm that initially designed the structure, or the earliest firm known to work on the building. Thus when browsing some firms, the title may include a different firm then the one being browsed due to the fact that they did not initially design the building, but instead provided plans for alterations to it.
Following that item through to its full repository record however will show all commissions related to the property, including any alterations commissioned by different firms. To do this, select a commission from the firm's list, and navigate to the link in the Source field; this will take you to the full record in Ohio Memory, with all scanned images of the commission and the most robust metadata.
In some cases plans may appear to be duplicated, if the same plans were used to build two identical buildings corresponding to two different physical locations.
