Harry W. Wachter: Sturgeon Bar Island, Detroit River

Wachter, an architect in Toledo, Ohio. These drawings depict a cottage that Wachter designed for Whitney and Wachter families. The cottage was designed between 1902 and 1908, based on his firm's address and cross-referencing that with city directories.

Peter A. Welch: 1118 East Bancroft Street, Toledo, Ohio
A set of architectural drawings for a house commissioned by Evrit Camfield Esq. and created by Peter A. Welch, an architect working in the Auberndale area of Toledo, Ohio. It is believed that the drawings were created in 1894 or early 1895. (It is known that in 1895, the residence was occupied, and, that Mr. Welch was actively working as an architect.) Sometime after 1965 the building was demolished. The drawings are black line on cream colored linen, and include floorplans and exterior elevations. A commission number for the project is not identified.

The drawings include exterior views of all four sides, floorplans for the basement, first floor, second floor and roof, as well as detailed views of some doors, windows, banisters, and more. This building has been demolished, and in 2019 the site is occupied by the Point Place Branch of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library.

Unknown Architect: Joseph Swift Residence, Erie County, Ohio
Location for this building is a rough approximation only. Historic American Building Survey documents indicate it was seven miles south of the Vermilion, and overlooked the Vermilion River on the east bank.
The Joseph Swift Residence was built from 1840-1841 and was destroyed in 1923. These architectural drawings of the residence were prepared in 1941 by T.E. O'Donnell based on notes and sketches he made from 1919-1921. The drawings are white line on blue paper. They include exterior elevations, floorplans, and interior details of doorways, windows, fireplaces, and columns. The building was situated near Vermillion, Ohio and was referred to as Rosedale by the originals builders.
